ACHIEVEMENTS

Our most notable successes have been achieved when working in partnership with our suppliers. We prefer to work on the basis of exclusive distribution. This gives us the incentive to apply our knowledge, contacts and skills to promote and establish new brands.

YLI - virtually an unknown brand in the UK when we took it on in 1999. Since then, through a programme of advertising, editorial, education, retail promotions, competitions and active selling, it has become established as the leading brand of thread in the UK quilting market.

The Warm Company - although the various products were known previously in the UK, we have taken their battings and Steam-A-Seam 2 ranges to a position of strength in the market. Proportionate to the market we now sell more Soft & Bright in the UK than is sold in the USA.

June Tailor - one of the first companies we worked with and still one of our principal suppliers. Through a programme of combined advertising and in-store displays, the various products have become established in the UK. In particular the June Tailor grey cutting mats have made enormous inroads against the established 'self-healing' mats.

OTT-LITE - launched in 2004, we have worked closely with our principals to make progress against established competitors. Through a programme of intense advertising, editorial, promotions, competitions, demonstrations, internet-led support and active selling based on the quality of the range, we are carving out a sector of the market for this new brand.
