OUR HISTORY

Founded in 1996, the company began life as a mail order business (Quilt Direct) in order to establish a direct marketing link with consumers. However, the long-term objective was always to develop a wholesale business. During the next six years both sides of the business grew but the main income rapidly came from wholesale. Early in 2003 the mail order business and the Quilt Direct name were sold off and the wholesale company was re-named as European Quilting Supplies Ltd. This enabled us to focus more clearly on supporting our wholesale accounts while removing the inherent conflict of dealing with both retailers and consumers.

Since then, we have developed a strong presence in the fabric market, quickly becoming one of the market leaders. More recently we have taken on OTT-LITE natural lighting which extends our activity into many new markets. In addition, we distribute Michael Miller Memories fabric paper which gives us a presence in paper crafts and scrapbooking.

Our offices and warehouses are located in Leicester, in the centre of the country. We occupy three warehouses: one for fabrics, one for notions and waddings and one for bulk storage.
